Last Summer

Last summer I was visting family. I saw you standing there at the edge of the pool. I walked over and jumped in. You gave a little smile and then sat down to talk with your friends. My eyes keep looking over at you, I saw you looking at me. I blushed a bit and then moved on. That day last summer was the best day of my life, I had no idea that I would be the first day I saw you and the last I’d ever see you. I found you online and we talked every night. Soon was were exhanging numbers and texting at six in the morning and tweleve in the night. We fell in love and I thought for sure that you’d be the one. But I was wrong, we slowly drifted apart and then two months later you texted me and that you sill love me. You stayed for three months and then left again. These past few weeks were your last chances. I didn’t tell you but they were. And you’re gone, your so gone. But the only difference this time, I left you. A twist in our story and you didn’t think that I would get sick of all this going back and forth and leave you. The boy that sits quitely on the bus has been watching me. I watch him too, we talk every now and then and I look into his eyes and reallize that he treats me like a princess. Unlike you, you come and go. But he stays and hold me no matter what. Last summer, I was a fool for love. But most of all I was a fool for your love.
